Introduction

Welcome to the Phantom world, bespoke, exuberating excellence, a supremely majestic grandness exuding comfort of the first order. The Rolls Royce Phantom is the very essence of the Roll Royce, the royal signature and the prince of class. Built for the masters with a crown and for gentlemen with class. The Rolls Royce Phantom is an unrivalled icon, the very interpretation of a modern vehicle.

The 2018 Rolls Royce Phantom has not disappointed in any way, it comes shorter and heavier, but more executively sassy and classy.

Design & Performance

The all new Rolls Royce is design for balance and minimum vibrations. The new all aluminium chassis fondly dubbed the Architecture of Luxury, forms the platform on which the quietest Rolls Royce ever manufactured is built on, the platform on which the sanctuary of tranquility and quiet lays on.

The car is fitted with a 6.75 liter, twin turbocharger, 12 cylinder, V-configuration V8 engine, that can deliver up to 563 hp without loss of power or 563 bhp. The engine produces pure thrust and can move the car from rest or 0 mph to 62 mph in just 5.3 seconds. It can attain a maximum advised speed of 155mph, however if you’re a crazy type the engine can surely deliver a higher thrust but this is strongly kicked against for safety reasons. This car supplies good torque even at low speed, with a maximum torque of 900 N/m. It is an 8 speed transmission gearing, rear wheel driven car that runs on a run-flat tire type.

The tire is designed and manufactured by continental tires and comes with the ContiSeal and ContiSilent technology. The ContiSeal technology, prevents the car from experiencing a flat tire in a situation were a tire gets punctures by a sharp object of not more than 5 mm in thickness. The ContiSeal works so well that, if a tire gets punctured while on the move, the driver may never notice and the car may not need to be stopped. You can watch the following video, which shows how the ContiSeal tires works >>> How the ContiSeal works in tires.

The ContiSilent tire technology absorbs the noise and vibration experienced by the tire as it bounces on the road. This noise-vibration control technology, makes use of a small patch of polyurethane foam that lines the inner sidewalls of the tire thread, making the sidewalls softer and effectively isolating the cars interior of noise and vibrations experienced by the tire.

The 2018 Rolls Royce Phantom VIII is fitted with double wishbone suspension at the front axles and a multilink axle at the rear. This suspension system all but prevents you from noticing the bumps and potholes navigated by the car ( please note that the image below is just to give an impression of how the duoble wishbone suspension looks, the image is not the duoble wishbone suspension found in the Rolls Royce Phantom VIII). To achieve the luxury, the Rolls Royce Phantom makes use of the suspension system along with a camera assisted system that actively adjusted suspension system to mirror and reciprocate the changing nature of the driving surface.

Interior and exterior

The car interior is so carefully crafted, that it exudes delicate elegance, the 1920s identity and a princely comfort only the Phantom can provide. The back seats are so designed that you can have a two configuration with a central arm rest or a free bench format where the arm rest is raised back leaving more seat space.

Passengers at the rear can also treat themselves to some multimedia experience the sliding open a multimedia screen fitted to the read rest of the front seats. The cars C-pillars has mirrors incorporated in them for the pleasure of the Phantom patrons, along with champagne flutes and chillers.

The exterior is properly built with the phantom grill now integrated into the body, rather than being a removable independent part as in previous Phantoms. The door handles are made of tactile stainless steel. The doors will open and remain fixed at the position you left it as though being held in the position by a chauffeur and both doors (the front and back doors), can automatically be shut by actuating an inside button with no need to pull the door shut by your self.
