1. Introduction of Mercedes-AMG E53 Cabriolet 2019

The Mercedes-AMG E53 2019 Cabriolet comes with a powertrain that can be best described as a technological force. Indeed, other brands in the same category have a lot of work to do in order to come close. We take a sneak-peek into the future of performance engines through the lenses of its electric turbocharger and advanced engine. This convertible is an epitome of luxury. It comes with high-end features and a classic interior.

Having gone through each segment of the car, Naijauto can confirm that the Mercedes-AMG E53 2019 Cabriolet does not have a direct competitor at the moment especially as the BMW 6-series has surrendered the race. Sitting behind the wheel of this ride gives you a state-of-the-art experience that is not easily obtainable in any other car. Let's be with Naijauto today with the Mercedes-Benz E53 2019 Cabriolet review!

Among all 4 body styles, the cabriolet has the sportiest looking

2. Design of Mercedes-AMG E53 2019 Cabriolet

This is the first time the E-Class Cabriolet is getting the AMG treatment (Read: Get to know about all 17 classes of Mercedes-Benz). The previous generation did not offer an Affalterbach variant. Going back in the history of Mercedes-Benz, there was the CLK 63 Cabriolet which came right before the E-Class Cabriolet and just like the CLK, the E53 shares a sportier look in comparison to its non-AMG fellow without any restraint abandonment.

The AMG E53 won't be so loud. Although it has an attractive five-spoke twenty-inch wheels squad exhaust shoots that are designed to be rounded and AMG badging, there is nothing more to it that screams off the rooftop. Rather than taking on aggressive aero pieces and flared wheel arches, the E53 takes a more simple route with elegant body lines.

Not so loud but so luxurious

Mercedes lives up to expectations with the cabin of the Mercedes-AMG E53 2019 Cabriolet. It offers one of the best cabins among automakers. With an interior worth $80,000, it goes without saying that its users are in for a VIP treat. Materials in the cabin are classy and well decorated. You will see a contrast stitching leather and metal weave trims.

3. Technology and comfort of Mercedes-AMG E53 2019 Cabriolet

The various number of options made available for comfort indicates how stacked the automaker can be. If you have a thing for kitschy amenities, you will be impressed by the Merc’s cabin which offers benefits including air perfuming system, heated armrests and massaging seats amongst other things. These options might come across as redundant on the spec sheet, but they make up an engaging package offered by the automaker.

Seats in this vehicle raise the bar of vehicle comfort. They have several bolster adjustments which people can use to get their desired seating position. When the weather is cool especially in the evening, you can lounge away with the top down along with a heated massage to calm your nerves.

Offered at a high price, it is only fair that the technology in the car to be top-notch. And truly, Mercedes does not offer anything short of that. Its infotainment system is standard by all means. But the many menus on the system is distracting, the automaker could have made them fewer. You will find features such as Apple CarPlay, wireless phone charging, Burmester audio and Android Auto.

Mercedes-AMG cars always offer a high taste of interior luxury

The downside is that the ride quality of the E53 belittles the outstanding impressions created by the interior. Although the adaptive suspension feeds off the drive mode, it is stiff in a comfort setting. This is perfect for an aggressive drive on a free road like the highway. But when driven in traffic, the automaker could have offered more suspension tuning.

4. Engine performance of Mercedes-AMG E53 2019 Cabriolet

Although the Mercedes-AMG E53 2019 Cabriolet is a luxurious vehicle, it offers so much in terms of performance. It comes equipped with a turbocharged 3L inline-6 engine that produces 348 pound-feet torque and 429 horsepower. Worthy of note, the automaker adds more kick by combining an electric motor that is located between the transmission and engine.
