The DBX, produced at Aston Martin's St Athan Facility in South Wales, is a perfect example of a sporty compact SUV.

The sight of a DBX doesn't just give an idea of a supercar, but also of one dressed up in a body of an SUV and ready for an adventure. When it comes to used models, I'm not so sure you will find any for the 2021 Aston Martin DBX, as they are still fresh off production. S, you may have to wait for a few months. However, we at Naijauto strongly believe that the prices of the used models of DBX may even be higher than the Manufacturer Suggested Retail Price MSPR. That being said, you may just have to wait a few more years for the prices to come down a bit.

On the other hand, the Lamborghini Urus has enjoyed two production years before the arrival of the 2021 models. Therefore, the table below highlights the prices of the used models of the Lamborghini Urus.

Comparison of the 2021 Lamborghini Urus and 2021 Aston Martin DBX: Design and Technology

Placed side by side, just a few contour designs and styling features put both SUVs apart. Yes, they could erroneously pass for each other, if your gaze was flimsy. Both SUVs are low and sturdy, come with an outlandishly eccentric design especially for SUVs. The obvious differences can be spotted in their fascia styling and design. The 2021 Aston Martin DBX fascia reflects the spirit of the Aston Martin DB series, especially its wholesome grille. The large mesh grille syncs perfectly with the rectangular air inlets shining bright on either side of the DB grille.

The headlamps on the DBX are really unique and sharp, giving the DBX the look of an aggressive bull shark waiting to strike. We will get to see how fast the bull sharkie DBX strikes when you step down on its pedals. The door styling and rear area design are just as striking, as well as enticing. The rearview gives an image of a traditional crossover, more like the Lexus RX series and the Audi Q7 models.

On the other hand, the 2021 Lamborghini Urus sports the kind of exterior look that screams "Sexy". The frontal area is all lines and contours, giving the 2021 Urus an air of sexy energy. The grille design is a perfect definition of eccentric with no clear form or style, just lines and curves here and there. The bonnet sports two prominent contours that run from the bottom of the windshield pillars down towards the grille. The headlamps are just cool and striking.

The rear design of the Urus is another masterpiece, giving an idea of a toad staring at you with a half-open eye. The rear bumper integrates perfectly into the rearview, syncing nicely with its 23-inch tires. More exterior details of the Urus and the DBX are highlighted below. See the differences for yourself.

Interior Styling and Technology Features

On the inside, both SUVs offer some of the best when it comes to interior technology and infotainment features. Starting with the 2021 Lamborghini Urus, you get to enjoy luxury at its best. Every inch of the interior is covered by some of the finest materials of the highest quality. You can choose between the 5 and 4 seat configuration, with the 4 seat configuration offering something close to what's obtaining in the Mercedes Maybach GLS 600 we recommended to Tony Elumelu. The 4 seat configuration offers two very comfortable bucket seats in the rear, with both seats separated by a centre console that houses two cupholders.

The dashboard area is also very inviting with two large screens just below the air conditioning vents, connecting perfectly with the centre console. One other unique feature is where the start button is housed and the stylish mechanism for selecting desired drive mode. The start button is housed in a unique flap that has to be shifted open to reveal the button, while the drive modes can be selected by moving special selector nobs.

On the other hand, the Aston Martin DBX interior is every inch of what you would expect from a luxury supercar SUV. The DBX offers a 5 seat configuration as standard but is still very spacious considering that it comes with a 120.5-inch wheelbase (almost 2 inches longer than the Urus). The fronts seats are heated and ventilated, while also supporting a 16-way power adjustment with memory.

It's obviously a very difficult task picking the best from these two when their interior styling and feature offerings are concerned. Both guys are just outstanding!!!.

. Comparison of the 2021 Lamborghini Urus and 2021 Aston Martin DBX: Engine and Performance

Remember, we captioned this article "The Battle of the Fastest SUVs". Well, we truly meant it, these two are among some of the fastest in the SUV business. The 2021 Lamborghini Urus post a top speed of about 189.5 mph which is just incredible for a beast that weighs about 4,844Lbs, that's almost the weight of two Toyota Corollas. The Urus clears the 0-60 Mph lap in just about 3.2 seconds, way faster than every other SUV in the division.

On the other hand, the 2021 Aston Martin DBX offers a good challenge for the title of the fastest SUV. However, it comes short of what's delivered by the Lamborghini Urus. with a top speed of about 181 Mph which is almost 8 seconds behind the Urus. On the acceleration side of things, the DBX still lags behind the Urus, posting a 0-60 mph acceleration of about 4.3 seconds. A figure that struggles to outclass most other guys in the division. However, it still is one of the fastest SUVs in the division.

The table below gives a clearer picture of the Engine and Performance comparison of both SUVs.

   Engine and Performance Features
Feature Area  2021 Lamborghini Urus  2021 Aston Martin DBX
 Engine 4.0 Liter Twin-turbocharged V8 Engine  4.0 Litre Twin-turbocharged V8 engine
Transmission 8-speed automatic with manual shifting  9-Speed Automatic Transmission
Power   641 hp 542 hp
Torque  627 lb.-ft 516 lb-ft
Fuel Economy   12 City / 17 Highway 14 City / 18 Highway

From the numbers above, the Lamborghini Urus is clearly ahead of the DBX in both the engine offering and performance displayed. The Urus obviously produces more power than the DBX, delivers more speed and acceleration and even offers better fuel economy even when you have a bigger engine. So, our choice here is simple, The Lamborghini Urus takes the price in this division.

Final Verdict

Having seen these two SUVs, 2021 Lamborghini Urus vs 2021 Aston Martin DBX, the first choice seems obvious which is the 2021 Lamborghini Urus especially when you consider its superior engine and performance. However, if the deciding factor for you is the pricing, then the Aston Martin DBX is the go-to SUV. Anyways, we must say that both compact SUVs are great, but when you consider performance and engine robustness, then the Urus is the choice. Overall, we would pick the 2021 Lamborghini Urus!!!.
