South Korean automaker Kia has unveiled its 2019 Kia Soul 64 kWh EV. Since 2009, when this model was launched, the Kia Soul has been able to attract 1.6 million buyers especially in the USA, but with a reasonable turn out from the European market also after a slow start. This time though, the 2019 model of this electric car will arrive in the UK this year with the new nameplate ‘e-soul.’
The 2019 Kia Soul is the third generation of Soul and also one of the authentic electric cars produced by the Korean auto manufacturer. The car size is 4,195mm long: 55mm longer than previously with a 2600 mm wheelbase that is 30mm larger. It is also 1605mm high and 1800mm wide, making it different all round than its predecessors.

Just like the e-Niro, the 2019 Kia Soul 64 kW comes with an adequately equipped infotainment system that entertains you as you cruise along. This includes the Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, available 640-watt Harman, 10 speakers including the tuned center speaker and subwoofer, a Bluetooth 6 Multi-Connection whereby two Bluetooth devices can be connected at the same time, and also an 8-inch Head-Up Display. The 2019 Kia Soul 64 kWh is a five-seater vehicle. The front legroom is 41.1 inches while the rear legroom is 38.8 inches. With sunroof, the front headroom is 39.4 inches while the rear head room is 39.5 inches. The car is built in such a way that it's easier to perfectly accommodate kids length and height and also suitable for tall adults.

The front shoulder room is 55.5 inches while the rear shoulder room is 54.7 inches. The seat of the vehicle is covered with thick quality leather that gives the interior a more stylish look and feeling. You also have the privilege of adjusting or lifting the seats depending on your preference.

Unlike the e-Niro which has a 451-litre boot size, Kia Soul has just 315 liters, which is a bit of a letdown. The cargo capacity is up to 24.2 cu.-ft. This space is capable of containing luggage and also tall items. The rear seat can also be lowered to create room for more items. With the dual level cargo board advantage, it also makes it flexible in accommodating longer items using the lower level setting. Charging is convenient and efficient
The liquid cooled battery is 64kWh with DC fast charging capability, though its usable battery is about 60kwh. It is capable of reaching 0-62 mph in 7.6 seconds with a top speed of 104 mph. The vehicle also packs in 4 drivng modes including Eco+ and Sport. A 32kWh version is also available. The Electric version for now will be available only in Europe while the rest of the world gets the petrol version.
