Toyota is set to release a new 7-seater minivan called Vellfire to rival Mercedes' V-Class Marco Polo. How strong is it?

Monopoly has no place in the automotive industry. Just when an automaker thinks they have an edge with a particular product, another automaker emerges with the same product or something even better. Mercedes-Benz scored high ratings with the launch of its 7-seater minivan Mercedes V-Class Marco Polo. While it is yet to take in all the accolades, top rival Toyota is already on the verge of launching its own 7-seater luxurious minivan called the Vellfire.

The Vellfire is a 7-seater minivan

The new ride is coming at a time when minivans are in high demand. Car lovers lookout for the best on the market to satisfy their needs in terms of performance and comfort. Toyota is bent on pandering to the needs of customers as it offers comfy seats with adequate legroom, fold-out tables, cooling and heating functions, and memory capacity. It also offers four different color options for buyers to choose from including black, burning white, graphite and pearl white.

Toyota understands that buyers would first be attracted to a car’s exterior before checking it out. Hence, it beautifies the Vellfire’s exterior with a boxy design. The upcoming minivan has a tall stance and a chrome-like front grille that accentuate its appearance. The taillights are by no means small, and the headlight is in splits.

Settled in the interior of the car, occupants get to enjoy a touchscreen of 10 inches, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay as well as HDMI support and Wifi connection.

Mercedes V-Class Marco Polo and the Vellfire share some similarities

The Vellfire offers a lounge experience with VIP features including chauffeur controls, roof lighting, private screens, power sliding doors, 3-zone AC, dual sunroof, et al.

Power is supplied to the Vellfire by a hybrid petrol car engine of 2.5 liters. It dishes out a power of 115 PS and torque of 198Nm. As a hybrid, the Vellfire takes pride in being self-charging. According to Toyota, its fuel efficiency is 16.35kmpl.

With all these features in the Vellfire, Mercedes’ V-Class Marco Polo is in for serious competition.
