If you are ever going to be in awe of anything under heaven, then be so for technology. Not long ago, when EVs or electric vehicles first began to appear, car enthusiasts greeted the early pioneers with a slightly condescending sense of humor because of the speed and general performance of the these EVs.
Fast forward less than 3 effective decades later, and the bombastic statement by Elon Musk, CEO of Tesla during the company’s AGM for 2019, which basically claimed that the long anticipated Tesla Pickup was going to trump a Porsche 911 in speed. That’s 0-62 miles per hour in a scant 4.2 seconds. That is fast.
Tesla's new pickup may look like this: it's been described as "Cyberpunk"

Mr Musk, who spared the time to take a swipe at EV pickups, that are powered by electric but look like regular boring carbon fuel burning dinosaurs, also promised the Tesla Pickup would have a look befitting its power status. He hinted that the new vehicle would flow along the lines of a "Cyberpunk Truck”.
No matter what the Tesla PU looks like, if it indeed matches the performance Tesla’s CEO promises, then truly it’s the end of the Jurassic age all over again. The new truck is expected for a summer 2019 release.
