Coupled with the Outlander and the Outlander Sport, Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross will be a fitting piece to the killer CUV lineup of Mitsubishi. With the mobility from the SUV design and the sporty look from a coupe model, the Eclipse Cross really hit it off at the Nigeria market.
The Eclipse Cross 2018 was a hit in the CUV segment in Nigeria
Having gathered reputation since its introduction, Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross 2018 came back stronger this year. The signature technology and the ergonomics inherited from the previous version was left unchanged by Mitsubishi while they added a couple more features such as a 7-inch smartphone screen with a touchpad to control its sound system and connect to smartphone, a 2-piece sliding panoramic roof, a HUD, heated seats, and a brand new feature: Mitsubishi Connect.
The system supports both popular mobile platforms, Apple and Android. You can even control and give directives through your voice. The engine got an upgrade too, with the introduction of a 1.5-liter direct-turbo-injection.
Apart from the ergonomic, its technology is also well updated
The Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Mitsubishi has a lot of confidence in this version of Eclipse Cross, saying that the sales figures for it will be propelled in the upcoming years and that it would soon claim a large share of the already largest segment in the auto world. "We think our car will be a fierce competitor in the CUV segment", he added.
Now, let's take a close look at the details we just laid out above. First off, the Head-Up Display (HUD) allows the driver to interpret information in real time by showing all kind of parameters such as the speed, gear position, Lane Departure warning or Collision Mitigation warning.
The 1.5L turbo engine can produce up to 152 HP at 5500 rpm and up to 25,5 kg-m at 2000 rpm. One of the upgrades was the sodium-filled exhaust valves that optimize the torque, allowing the engine to produce even more force than the 2.0 and 2.4L versions.
With the latest valve technology, the 1.5l engine can generate more torque than larger-sized versions
One signature technology of Mitsubishi, the advanced S-AWC( Super All Wheel Control), was also introduced for Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross 2018. This technology controls and distributes a proper amount of torque to each wheel to assist when you need to turn and stabilize the car when going on a straight line.
Some other features can be named here are the Blind Spot Warning (BSW), Rear Cross Traffic Alert (RCTA), Lane Departure Warning (LDW), Multi-View Camera System, Forward Collision Mitigation (FCM), Automatic High Beam (AHB), Lane Change Assist (LCA), Adaptive Cruise Control System (ACC).
