The 6 classy mid-size sedan or saloon cars listed below are not all from 2019, but with the long-serving trims, sophisticated exterior, and high-tech infotainment systems, they totally still make it to the top 6 in 2019. See the list below!

Executive cars are meant to speak class and luxury. Both the interior and exterior should preach superlative comfort, and offer breathtaking engines to complement the constant motorway life it’s about to begin.

These 6 mid-size saloons or sedans which have just arrived at the market in 2019 are nothing short of classy. List collected by!

1. BMW 5 Series 2019 (From ₦19.6 million)

The latest BMW 5 Series 2019 is quite the catch. Starting from its performance and handling, the mid-size sedan has graced the car market with a more sophisticated approach. It comes with a lush interior with plenty of room and great engine choices.

In addition, it comes in 5 different series which of course, have varied prices and deliver several fabulous tech features. As it varies from each series, some of the features include:

  • Blind-spot monitoring
  • Lane-departure warning
  • Forward-collision warning
  • Pedestrian detection
  • Front and rear parking sensors and rear cross-traffic alert
  • Apple CarPlay
  • Wireless smartphone charging pad
  • Self-parking feature
  • Onboard Wi-Fi hotspot
  • Power-operated trunk lid
  • Passive entry
  • SiriusXM satellite radio
  • Heated front seats
  • Soft-close doors
  • Manual side-window shades
  • Adaptive headlamps
  • Automatic high-beams
  • Digital gauge display

The 5 Series 2019 comes with a posh interior, plenty of people and cargo space

While the BMW can be described as a well-rounded luxury sedan, it still has some flaws, but it’s nothing a genuine BMW fanatic can’t deal with. The braking performance is not as adequate as it should be and quite a number of the luxury infotainment packages are costly.

2. Infiniti Q70 2019 (From 18.5 million)

The Q70 is a good one, but not as good as the others on this list. The styling is welcoming – reasonably spacious comes with beautiful interior furnishings, two available wheelbases, and good powertrain choices.

On the other hand, driving the Infinity Q70 2019 can be a bit tough - the ride isn’t very consistent and the steering practically ruins the handling experience.

Although the much expected 3.7-liter V-6 doesn’t make it so fabulous, the 330 horsepower isn’t a cakewalk either. Despite the shortcomings, it is still a good one (among a host of other mid-size sedans), and remains competitive against other versions in its class, as far as its CO2 emissions are concerned.

3. Lexus ES 2019 (From 14.2 million)

The ES is just one all-around beauty, elegant inside and out! What more could you as for?

Its hybrid powertrain ticks all the boxes and you can be assured that as long as it can run for brief periods on electricity alone, it definitely has a fairly decent fuel economy as well.

With its quietly spacious and stunning cabin, you can find a bunch of cruise-comfy features on Lexus ES 2019:

  • 10-way adjustable front seats
  • Sunroof
  • 10-speaker sound system
  • An 8.0-inch infotainment display
  • Option for navigation with a larger 12.3-inch display
  • Onboard Wi-Fi
  • Siri Eyes Free
  • Apple CarPlay, and Amazon Alexa services
  • Automated emergency braking
  • Lane-keeping assist
  • Adaptive cruise control

Apart from the quirks of the infotainment system, the ES350 will give you great value

Higher trims come with fancy features such as:

  • 17-speaker Mark Levinson audio system
  • Panoramic sunroof
  • Semi-aniline leather upholstery
  • Head-up display
  • Power-adjustable steering column.

Compared to a few others on this list, like the Mercedes and BMW, its infotainment system is needlessly complex.

4. Mercedes-Benz E-Class 2019 (From 19.6 million)

If you’re driving long-distance, the Mercedes-Benz E-Class 2019 makes it less stressful as it offers complete driver comfort. Sophisticated inside and out, the turbocharged four-cylinder engine is standard and provides sufficient power.

It comes in 4 trims and the cabin is fabulously detailed with lovely wood, brushed aluminum, and as mentioned earlier, some of the most comfortable seats ever designed.

Some of the basic features include Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and a standard 12.3-inch infotainment display that dominates the dashboard. For drivers-assistance features, the Benz comes with certain respectable features:

  • Standard automated emergency braking
  • Available lane-keeping assist
  • Available semi-autonomous driving mode

Note that some of these features are limited to the more expensive trims.

5. Jaguar XF 2019 (From 29.6 million)

Although the Jaguar XF 2019 is particularly stylish with a reasonable amount of space available for rear passengers, the leather quality is quite disappointing. Most importantly, it comes with a handful of powertrain options, but none are just as quick, compared to other sedans in its class.

Notwithstanding, the XF is still a strong contender for the number one spot in this category.

In every XF, you'll find a version of Jaguar's InControl Touch Pro infotainment system. It comes with a unit central screen that features customizable settings and allows several kinds of touch gestures. Depending on your taste, you can upgrade to a version with navigation and a 4G LTE mobile hotspot.  Also, a mighty 17-speaker, 825-watt Meridian sound system is readily available and if you prefer Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, they can also be included.

Its safety and driver-assistance features include:

  • Lane-departure warning and lane-keeping assist
  • Forward-collision warning and automated emergency braking
  • Blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert

The XF offers an optional fuel-efficient diesel-powered engine

6. Audi A6 2019 (From 21.2 million)

The A6 rides well, delivers power from a range of silky-smooth engine and earns itself a decent fuel-economy status. Complementing its premium fit, it also offers hybrid technology with a 48-volt starter/alternator that runs the engine's unpredictable stop-start system and other ancillary equipment. But then, it is much less athletic as compared to its key rivals.

Comes in 3 trims, the Audi A6 2019 delivers a high-quality cabin and cutting-edge infotainment features:

  • An 8.8-inch display
  • Navigation feature
  • Optional Audi Virtual Cockpit digital gauge display
  • Apple CarPlay
  • Android Auto
  • Onboard Wi-Fi
  • Optional larger 10.1-inch infotainment display
  • 16-speaker Bang & Olufsen setup (comes standard on the premium plus and higher trims)
  • A 10-speaker audio system

The standard features include:

  • Standard automated emergency braking
  • Adaptive cruise control
  • Blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert
