With just a few days left to the long-awaited 2019 Frankfurt Motor Show, Mercedes has taken a step forward to unveil its new models, the facelifted Mercedes GLC 300e 4Matic and Mercedes GLE 350de 4Matic plug-in hybrid SUVs.
Specifications of Mercedes GLC 300 e 4Matic
As reported by Naijauto, the facelifted GLC 300e plug-in hybrid came with a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine which delivers 208 hp (155 kW/211 PS) and a torque of 258 lb-ft (349 Nm). The model also features a 13.5 kWh lithium-ion battery that's supported by an electric motor producing 121 hp (90 kW/123 PS) and a torque of 325 lb-ft (440 Nm).
With it, the GLC 300e is able to deliver 315 hp(235 W/320 PS) and a torque of 516 lb-ft (700 Nm), as maximum output. It allows the SUV to sprint from 0-60 mph in 5.7 seconds and then it goes ahead to hit a top speed of 143 mph (230 km/h). And based on a background test conducted on the car by Worldwide Harmonized Light Vehicle Test Cycles (WLTC), the model can use only electricity to run 28-30 miles(46-49 km) and 24-27 miles(39-43 km).

Coming to the styling, the GLC model came with EQ badging, new driving assistance system, MBUX infotainment system, rear charging port and LED headlamps. In terms of cargo capacity, Mercedes said the SUV is 395-1445 liters (13.9-15 cubic feet), making it be lower than others GLC variants.

Specifications of Mercedes GLE 350 de 4Matic
The GLE 350 de 4Matic has a remarkable power train and comes equipped with a four-cylinder 2.0-liter diesel engine, an electric motor, and a 31 kWh battery pack. For this model, the maximum output is 315 hp (235 kW/320 PS) and a torque of 700 Nm.
With their similarity ending here, the GLE 350 de can sprint from 0-62 mph in 6.8 seconds while it's top speed is limited to 130 mph (210 km/h). This figure might not be impressive when compared to what the GLC generates but the GLE still has an upper hand, a longer range. With its large battery, the model can run 65.9 miles on an electric-only range in the NEDC and 55.9-61.5 miles based on WLTC.

The GLE 350de has a longer range when compared to the GLC 300e
The SUV got a special design on the rear end and a refreshed rear axle to accommodate the battery pack. With it, the cargo capacity came at 1915 liters (67.6 cubic feet).
