German auto giant, Daimler AG recently unveiled a completely stunning and powerful Mercedes-AMG GT R Formula One safety car which comes with a distinct exterior design. This new safety car is expected to be seen this weekend at the upcoming 2020 Austrian Grand Prix. The exterior design of the high-performance safety car symbolizes unity as well as the commitment of the F1 sport for inclusion and diversity.

The exterior of this beautiful new Mercedes-AMG safety car also features the new hashtag “WeRaceAsOne” which is painted on all the Formula One car that will be participating in the coming Grand Prix event.
When explaining the motive behind the exterior design of this newly revealed safety car, Mercedes-Benz stated that the return of the Formula One race event on the 5th of July 2020 in Austria will serve as a great avenue to collectively thank all the people of the world for their resilience and strength in the continued fight against the Coronavirus pandemic.
The automaker mentioned that the F1 sport will as well show its commitment to fighting against racism and also ensure it puts more effort into addressing inequality in the Formula One community.

And speaking of high-performance safety cars, Mercedes actually presented the most powerful Formula One safety car two years back. The safety car came with high-performance brakes and rollover protection system bundled in an AMG Track Package back then. The powerful safety car packed a 4.0L twin-turbo V-8 engine under the hood, from which it draws 577hp and 520 lb-ft of torque to achieve 0 to 62mph acceleration in 3.6 seconds and an overall 198mph top speed.
