Overview of 2019 Mercedes-AMG GT 4-door
The continual ability of the firm to transform ordinary car into high performing track and road models by Mercedes is quite impressive. This has laid the foundation for the German automaker’s success story so far. The fact that the company has a strong partnership with 5-time Formula 1 champion, using their AMG racing car surely has a role in it.
Another point of remarkable success stems from the company’s effort for a decade in building its own sport cars. The first product of such was the SLS, which made its debut in 2009 with remarkable gullwing doors of a tastefully styed 300SL with an equipped 6.2-liter V8 and a naturally aspirated engine. In 2014, its successor, AMG GT, continued the theme for 2-seater sporting version.
The design for these two models was not derived from any of the Mercedes existing model but an attempt to bring something new to those who knew the journey of AMG from the journey.
2019 Mercedes AMG GT 63s-4-door-coupe comes with a large body dimension and weight but totally efficient
Our bone of contention, the Mercedes-AMG four-door coupe is the third in the house model for AMG and its design came as a surprise to many but Mercedes deliberately brought something new to compete with the likes of Bentley Continental GT and the Porsche Panamera.
The fact that it is the first AMG model coming with four-seat is enough to widen the portfolio of the automaker to some extent. We expect to expect something different from what we have seen with its predecessors such as GT and SLS.
2019 Mercedes-AMG GT 4-door design and styling
In the 2019 AMG GT 4-door, it comes equipped with all-wheel drive in 9-speed multi-clutch transmission. It offers a torque-vectoring, which locks the differential actively at the rear axle. It offers standard 4-wheelsteering system, with an aerodynamics active enough just like those seen on GT-R coupe. It also features a steering rack (electro-mechanical) with a variable passive ratio and alloy wheels, which are light weighted.
The availability of many modes of driving and selectable stability and traction control programs makes it possible for the driver to set the handling to extent which is quite impossible on lesser cars according to AMG.

The material used for the cabin design is soft and of high quality with generous legroom for the occupants
The GT four-door, which is powered by V8 engine, makes use of Pseudo arrangement (double-wishbone) at the car’s front and configuration of multi-link at the rear for its suspension. It promises adaptive dampers of Ride Control in AMG and air springs. For reduction of weight, it uses the anti-roll bars on both axles.
2019 Mercedes-AMG GT 4-door interior
It features an impressive interior design similar to what you would find on CLS equipped version. The slight difference is in term of trim and console at the centre of the dash, which is raised with details. The cabin design also promises the new multi-function steering wheel and the availability of 12-inch digital instrument screen. The display screen is large enough with an unrivalled graphics in depth of colour and sharpness.
The use of nappa leather, which is very soft, is an evidence of the excellent materials used on the inside. Though, the position of the switchgear could be challenging compared to the likes of Bentley and Porsche, which offer a better and more robust conspicuous quality.
Topnotch interior design for a model of its class with an unrivaled 12.3 touchscreen display system
The 2019 GT 4-door has the facility to make available displayed dials such as power output and real-time torque, g-force and boost pressure.
For the rear seats, its headroom might not be sufficient enough especially for tall passenger due to its roofline but promises more than enough legroom and very comfortable seats. Its cargo area is also very spacious but not as big as what you would get with Panamera Sport Turismo or M5 saloon.

2019 Mercedes-AMG GT 4-door performance, ride and handling
AMG GT 4-door, with the four-wheel drive traction benefits and the effective launch control program for the car, has the ability to accelerate at a standstill of zero to 62mph in just 3.4 seconds on its 577 horsepower engine. Its getaway is remarkable on a dry cool surface. The level of acceleration is well matched by its iron brakes that come as standard. Its road performance is close to perfect as it provides an ideal home for the twin turbo V8 of AMG line-up.
It offers good traction and grip on the road close enough to a perfect road performance
The suspension equipped in this model gets three switchback levels of being firm as they ensure the movement of the car to be quickly checked and occur closely despite the dimension. It is quite a hard car to over drive as it creates impressive traction and grip, hereby communicating its limit fabulously and inclined to predictably and neatly over-steer when you breach those limits. This is when the driver aid will be deactivated. It sits well on the road and its steering feels light and adjustable to that of a simple car.
This model is the appropriation of sports car’s element in creating a 4-door luxury performance GT. It is play, promises quality ride and magnificently composed.
