What’s under the hood or is it the floor?
The e-208 is a zero-emission electric vehicle that will be powered by 100kW electric motor and a 50kWh battery. This automobile masterpiece can reach a range of 211 miles based on WLTP procedures. The battery is located beneath the floor plan of the vehicle allowing for unhindered cargo space within the car, just like the petrol and diesel option. The battery also comes with eight years of warranty.

Its performance will also be based on three unique configurations vis-a-vis range, comfort, and driver customised performance, and designated as Eco, Normal and Sport respectively.
Charging modus operandi!
Charging the e-208 may be done using domestic sockets (takes 20 hours), using a dedicated charging point (8 hours) or by using a public terminal which can garner up to 80% of its battery capacity in 30 minutes using a 100 kW charging station.

Other high tech charging options include remote activation using the 3D navigation coloured touch screen connection, or by using the smartphone App – MyPeugeot. Peugeot supporting services for EVs
Peugeot understands the peculiarities and challenges faced in transitioning from petrol cars to EVs, and has launched a range of supporting services to ease the transitions. Though these services are available in countries where the infrastructures for EVs are already in place, Peugeot is still improving on these services for better implementation. The services basically help with easy charging and easy mobility with things like the trip planner, mobility pass, coaching available on MyPeugeot App, Serenity with new digital journey simulators, special service contract, and battery capacity certificate.
The revamped Peugeot 208 petrol and diesel options
Nigerian automobile users have not been left out by Peugeot in their quest to claim a piece of the future, as they have improved the petrol and diesel options called the Peugeot 208 (without the “e”). The all-new Peugeot 208 with the euro6d engine now has a reduced Co2 emission, 30 kg less than the previous versions and now has improved aerodynamics. It is built on the most advanced CMP platforms with optimised powertrains and reduced roll resistance.
The new Peugeot 208 comes as a 3-cylinder 1.2 l petrol engine with one of 75 S&S 5-speed manual, 100 S&S 6-speed manual or 8-speed automatic or 130 S&S 8-speed automatic car. The four-cylinder 1.5 l diesel engine is available as Blue HDi 100 S&S 6-speed manual car.

The Peugeot 208 is now more comfortable and safer with the new driver assist. It comes with features like lane positioning, full park assist, adaptive cruise control, stop-and-go cruise control, and driver attention monitoring technology.
Other safety features include traffic sign and speed limit recognition, headlight dipping, blind spot monitoring, and electronic parking brake.
