As the world keeps changing rapidly, the needs of car users are also changing and taking a new dimension every day. The complexity of these needs by car buyers have probably led South Korean auto giant, Kia to infuse some traits of SUV into its newly unveiled 2021 Kia Carnival/Sedona minivan. It’s hardly up to a week that Kia teased this all-new minivan and now, the automaker has finally unveiled the totally redesigned gorgeous minivan.
Kia “marries” the characters of an SUV with the versatility of a minivan to make its 2020 Sedona model become a “Grand Utility Vehicle”
This new 2021 Kia Carnival/Sedona looks pretty much like a regular minivan but Kia prefers that everyone calls it a “Grand Utility Vehicle”. So, why is that?
Well, the automaker’s excuse remains the fact that the new minivan model takes almost all of its exterior design features from an SUV except for the sliding (rear) doors, massive greenhouse, boxy shape, and tall body that remains true to minivan “culture”. The B-and A-pillars of the new model have been cleaned up in black while the C-pillar gets a chrome finish as well as a diamond pattern just like the latest Kia Sorento. However, this new minivan pronounces itself when you study the design of the vehicle’s tailgate area.
Also, the new model comes with a much stronger upper character line that creates a clear connection between the taillights and headlights that further reveals the generous size of the minivan.
