Japanese auto giant, Toyota, has officially unveiled the all-new 2020 Toyota Yaris for the European and Asian markets after a leaked picture of it surfaced online two days ago.

The Toyota Yaris is in its fourth generation, with the new supermini engineered on the Global Architecture called the GA-B platform. It’s the first model to embrace this new Toyota platform, which the automaker says, is bringing visible improvements to the hatchback such as the styling, technology, safety, and practicality. Not forgetting the weight of the car which has been reduced by 50kg (110 lbs).

As gathered by Naijauto, the new car was redesigned completely and now, it's shorter, lower and wider. This new design provides more space for the interior and it happens to be vital for improved driving and maneuverability. The exterior got bulged wheel arches, large grille, sporty bumper, longer bonnet and LED lights.
The cabin features seat covers made from high-quality materials and trims finishing on the door panels. For the first time, the Yaris came with a soft-touch instrument panel. Toyota has built the car to interact and connect with passengers.
The dashboard has been set lower and now slimmer with a small steering wheel to give the driver better visibility. Available features include a Toyota touch screen, 10-inch color head-up display, wireless charger, ambient lighting, and heated steering wheel.

Now, this is dependent on the market. The 2020 Toyota Yaris is powered by 1.0-liter and 1.5-liter three-cylinder petrol engines, as well as a newly designed 1.5-liter Dynamic Force Engine with a Hybrid system, which is combined with a 79 HP electric motor and a better lithium-ion battery. Toyota says the new power train helps to reduce fuel economy and emissions by 20%.

Toyota designed the 2020 Yaris so it can be the safest car in its division globally. So, the car comes with a Toyota Safety Sense package comprising of lane trace assist system, intelligent cruise control and a center airbag for front occupants.
The 2020 Yaris will be built for the European market in France while that of Asian and domestic markets will be built in Japan.
