German auto manufacturer, Mercedes has added another model to its SUV lineups, the 2020 Mercedes Benz GLB.
As Naijauto gathered, the GLB model is coming to sit in the middle of the GLA and GLC models, with the 111.4-inch wheelbase it was launched with. The GLB SUV is being offered as a seven-seater vehicle, howbeit, Mercedes is still referring to it as a "global compact car family".
1. Overall design of 2020 Mercedes-Benz GLB
The seven-seater 2020 Mercedes-Benz GLB model provides customers with options to have two individual retractable seats to be fixed in the third row. Again, side window airbags were also made available for passengers occupying the third row, together with some storage compartments like USB-C ports. The GLB can also be fitted to become a five-sweater if customers opt for it. Here, the second seat row is folded down into 40/20/40 split to integrate the backrest inclination adjustment seats.

For its exterior features, it has square headlights and different bumper/grille. The roof has rails mounted there and customers can opt to have LED front fog lamps and LED high-performance headlamps.

2. New features on 2020 Mercedes-Benz GLB
Mercedes equipped the GLB with some of its latest technologies like the MBUX infotainment system first seen in the A-Class variant, now as a standard feature showing large screens. Also fitted into it is the advanced driving assistant system and it can partially drive itself in certain situations? Other features include Active Steering Assist, Active Parking Assist and Active Lane Change Assist.

The model is equipped with Mercedes' permanent all-wheel-drive system 4matic, with full torque split in the middle of the front and rear axles.
The GLB model is powered by a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that bumps out 221 hp at 5500 rpm, together with a torque of 258 lb-ft ranging from 1800-4000 rpm.

The Mercedes GLB model will be available for sale in the US market as GLB 250 4matic. Prices are yet to be announced.
