After a long wait, the 2020 Audi SQ8 has finally debuted.
Launched as a faster and powerful version, the Audi SQ8 is powered by a 4.0-liter V8 twin-turbocharged diesel engine. It’s sharing the same engine with the SQ7 model. The new model produces 429 hp while the torque is 664-lb-ft(900 Nm) with a low 1000 RPM. With these, the Audi SQ8 is able to run 62 mph(100 km/h) in 4.8 seconds while surpassing it with a top speed that's electronically limited to 155 mph (250 km/h).
Naijauto gathered that the model's powertrain also integrates a 48-volt lithium-ion battery pack that energizes an electric compressor to expel all turbo lag. The SQ8 can be driven by customers on pure electric power to hit 14 mph (22km/h). It's definitely all about the engine which sets this model apart from other models.

The SUV has been equipped with carbon fiber brakes on all the four corners and it's coming as standard. Also, Drive Select dynamic handling system and adaptive air suspension are been installed. Customers have the option to get electro-mechanical active anti-roll bars and sport differential, alongside the four-wheel steering.

Looking at the Audi SQ8, some changes have been made, such as a silver rear diffuser,' S' badges, quad tailpipes, sporty wheels, and new air intakes. The cabin features customized touches like aluminum door sill inlays, Alcantara finishes, stainless steel pedals, and a carved S logo.

According to Audi, the petrol-powered version of the 2020 SQ8 is the pipeline and will be delivered to some selected markets. We believe the US is one of them. The price has been tagged at $103,031 (N37 million)
