Brace up; the 2019 Hyundai i10 is about to up the ante. Come next year, the i10 will be the most sophisticated car in its category as it boasts of high-end technology in comfort and safety.
Big changes have been made to the compact city car. Its exterior has been refurbished to be more appealing to the younger generation. Recognized as a third-generation ride in the compact category, the newly designed i10 will make its very first public appearance at the Frankfurt motor show set to go down next week.
Its new look is more appealing to younger people
Some extensions made to the car include: additional width of 20mm to its wheel arches in the rear, 40mm extension of its wheelbase and a 20mm lowering of its roof against its predecessor. Passengers in the rear seats get to enjoy more legroom, and everyone gets more 252-liter trunk space.

Driving the i10 will feel better than driving its predecessor due to improvements made to its steering wheel and brake pedal.
Daytime lights situated in the grille have been modified to showcase the brand’s exquisite style. Offered as a first-time option, are the 16in alloy wheels.
Shiny bright lights for visible driving
Hyundai has also filtered down its safety systems, interior materials and connectivity features. It also offers an 8.0in touch screen which the automaker describes as the biggest in its segment. More features on offer include Apple CarPlay and Android Auto support, rear view camera (optional), wireless charging, lane departure assistance and automatic emergency braking among others.

The automaker has disclosed that production of the 2019 Hyundai i10 will be done at its Izmit factory in Turkey simultaneously with the i20 supermini. Price of the model is yet to be stated by Hyundai, but there are speculations that it will be costlier than the current model which has a starting price of ₦3.5 million.

At the launch, there will be 2 petrol engines available - an 83bhp 1.2-litre four-cylinder and a 66bhp 1.0-litre three-cylinder. Buyers get to choose between having a five-speed automatic transmission or five-speed manual transmission installed. According to Hyundai, the automatic transmission offers better fuel economy. In a bid to offer users a lot more in terms of fuel efficiency, there is an option of an Eco Pack for adjusting gear ratios. It also makes use of 14in wheels.
Front passengers enjoy sufficient legroom
Hyundai promises to offer a petrol engine of three cylinders, turbocharged. There is also the chance of getting an N Line as well as an N performance model that will give other cars in its segment a run for their money.
