Students meant to be studying in school were busy with cyber crimes! See how they were captured by officers of the EFCC, and exotic cars recovered!

No fewer than 25 undergraduates from Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH), in Oyo State, have been arrested by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC). Reason for their arrest is their involvement in cyber crimes including romance scam, falsely obtaining money and forging documents.

The young lads between the ages of 18 and 29 were rounded up by the commission’s Advance Fee Fraud Unit at their various off-campus residences in the course of a 3-day raid embarked upon from September 16 to 19, 2019.

Having received intelligence reports, members of the unit carried out surveillance on the alleged cyber criminals with the use of advanced technology, before rounding them up eventually.
