From a new report getting to us, an 18-year-old woman is set to face a series of charges after she was accused of allegedly stealing a car belonging to a delivery man in Belmont Central. The suspect was held by the citizens before the arrival of the authorities.
18-year-old Yuliana Correa was arrested for stealing a car belonging to a food delivery man
According to the Chicago police, the suspected car thief identified as Yuliana Correa from Albany Park will be charged with a felony count of being in possession of a stolen vehicle and an illegal possession of credit cards.

The authorities revealed that Correa entered a Honda CR-V which was parked last Monday by 12:45 pm around the 2400 block of North Meade Avenue, at the time when the driver was delivering food nearby.
The police disclosed that the delivery man was with the car keys but there was also a spare set of keys inside the car. However, having gained access to the parked car, the suspect drove off in the Honda, where she ended up crashing into two stationary vehicles in the 6200 block of West Palmer Street. As a result, Correa was detained by the nearby people until the arrival of the police officers, who later whisked her away into their custody.

Prior to her arrest, the police stated that the 18-year-old suspect will also face a charge of driving in the absence of a license and citations for using the wrong side of the road on a one-way street, where she ended up smashing into a parked vehicle. She will also face the count of driving an uninsured vehicle. From what we learnt, she would appear in court on Tuesday.
