In a recent statement released by RC Kamal Musa, who happens to the Senior Public Education Officer of the state's FRSC, confirmed the horrible road mishap which happened around 3 pm directly opposite Jodon Shopping Mall Nkpor, along Onitsha- Awka Old road.

The accident that claimed a life was believed to have been caused by over-speeding and wrongful overtaking
According to him, the road crash occurred due to wrongful overtaking and over speeding, which has become a common practice among road users in the country. He disclosed that 4 people that were seriously injured as a result of this accident were quickly rushed to the Boromi Hospital while the dead body upon confirmation by the doctors at the hospital, has been deposited at the morgue. This rescue mission of the victims of this road mishap was reportedly carried out by the FRSC rescue team from the Ntege Unit Command.
