Recently, a locally reconstructed vehicle solely used for cross-border smuggling was spotted last Wednesday along Lagos-Badagry Expressway at Ojo, Lagos.
It looks like these types of vehicles are normal things for those staying around the Mainland side of Lagos to see on frequent basis.

After these vehicles have been loaded with goods for smuggling, it would be so down and takes it close to normal or even normal ground clearance, enough to make it look like factory made.
Although they use other brands, looks like Volvo really suits their smuggling business across-border
Volkswagen Passat, Mazda Wagons and the spacious Toyota Camry (Big Daddy) have undergone some levels of reconstruction by these smugglers just the way this Volvo 240D has been modified to suit their needs.
