Shocking reports confirms that officials of the MVLA, VIO and FRSC have been recently arrested for allegedly defrauding motorists
Reports from the ICPC (Independent Corrupt Practices & Other Related Offences Commission) confirms in a public state that it recently arrested some government officials for vehicle particulars and drivers’ license fraud.
This report was made known via the ICPC’s public statement issued out on Thursday 27th of August 2020. The ICPC stated that it actually received “hints” that some officials of the FRSC, MVLA, and VIO were conniving with hoodlums to indirectly extort unofficial charges from innocent applicants before processing their vehicle particulars and drivers’ licenses. What a shame, isn’t it?
Azuka Ogugua, the spokesperson of ICPC stated that various incriminating equipment and documents, as well as large sums of money, were actually retrieved directly from the arrested suspects. He further mentioned that all the suspects were granted individual administrative bail but would each be arraigned before the appropriate court of law once investigations have been concluded on their case. Azuka Ogugua also noted that the arrest of the suspects by the ICPC was successful because of its collaboration with the DSS and some other FRSC officers.
