Check out photos of vandalized Toyota HiAce and Coaster buses recently recovered by the Lagos Government from Fagba Junction following last week's unrest.

New reports have confirmed that the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA) has been given a directive by the state governor to recover the remains of burnt vehicles from attacked police stations. Photos published on local media outlets show the moment when burnt trucks were being recovered by LASEMA from Oko Oba and Iju police stations that were recently attacked by mobs.

According to press reports, both the officials of LAWMA and LASEMA worked together in recovering 3 different burnt heavy-duty trucks from the Oko Oba and Iju Police stations over the last weekend. Reports also claim that 3 vandalized Toyota HiAce buses and 2 Coaster buses were recovered from the attacked offices of the Lagos State Public Works Corporation. It is also worth mentioning that officials of the LDCA and Local Emergency Management Committee reportedly joined LASEMA and LAWMA during the cleanup exercise.

Media reports claim that numerous properties were burnt during the recent Lagos riots

It is quite saddening that the #EndSARS and #EndPoliceBrutality protests that started out peacefully escalated into several violent riots following the alleged murder of some protesters at Lekki Toll gate last week.

Below is a video of some alleged “hoodlums” destroying police stations, private properties and public facilities during the recent Lagos riots.

Over the last weekend alone, many public corporations and private warehouses have also been reportedly looted by these set of hoodlums almost all over Nigeria. The Naijauto team is using this medium to encourage all Nigerian youths to desist from any form of violence or destruction of public and private properties during protests. Such attitudes and actions are not effective in getting the government to listen or yield to the demands of protesting masses. Let’s be wise!!!
