According to media reports, President Joe Biden recently proposed ₦71.3 trillion ($174 billion) to be spent by the US government in a bid to “win” the electric vehicle market. He claims that the money will cover tax incentives and POS rebates for everyone transacting in the EV market. Similarly, Joe Biden’s proposal also covers the installation of over 500,000 electric vehicle chargers in a national network across the nation by 2030. Media reports also claim that Joe Biden’s proposal includes the replacement of about 50,00 diesel-powered transit buses with electric versions. The proposal further establishes a program that provides “EPA Clean Buses” for kids.

Many press reports have also confirmed that several private organizations and government agencies support President Joe Biden’s latest proposal to boost EV adoption. Most of the agencies are fully convinced that Joe Biden’s proposed policies prioritize the move towards achieving a “clean” transportation system and clean air. Press reports also confirmed that ZETA (Zero Emission Transportation Association) agrees with Joe Biden’s new proposal to support electric vehicles.
