While we make it a priority to our readers to engage in safe driving here on Naijauto, some people do not see that as important. One of the major reasons why accidents do occur is due to lack of concentration or distraction while behind the wheel.
The home security camera picked up the moment a driver slammed into the back of a garbage truck
One such case according to a report happened in Reading, Massachusetts, where a garbage truck was said to have come to a halt and the worker hopped down to pick up the bins. This incident was captured on video as it happened. Just as the worker was carrying out his duty, an Acura MDX was seen on footage driving directly into the back of it.
>>> Still on traffic story: 13 of 15 people crammed into SUV killed in Californian road crash
We are not yet sure what led to the dramatic event, but the people’s comments in the clips show that the driver of this SUV wasn’t paying attention to the road. One could have thought that the driver was sleeping or pressing the mobile phone while driving.
Watch the clip here:
The way the driver ran into the garbage truck, one could see that the person behind the wheel had no intention of slowing down. That obviously didn’t go down well with the vehicle as it suffered severe frontal damage. As expected, the garbage truck didn’t suffer any form of damage from this crash.
Luckily, the garbage man that was around the scene would be alive to tell the story another day. It could have been a different story had it been that he didn’t get off the back of the truck to pick up the bins. He was later spotted checking on the condition of the driver of the Acura MDX. Thankfully, nobody was injured in this crash.
