Do you agree with the reason the Uber driver gave for not returning the wallet?

A Nigerian Uber driver has taken to Twitter to share an experience he had with a passenger who forgot his wallet inside his car when he dropped him at his destination.

See the forgotten wallet. You can guess his reason for refusing to return it

The Uber driver who took a picture of the wallet and shared on his wall said the passenger had asked him to bring the wallet to him at his location in Ikorodu or else he'll report him to Uber Company. The Uber driver declined after he had gone through the wallet to see only ₦75 inside it.

Naijauto lifted the story from his wall. Here’s it.

I dropped a guy off at ikorodu and he called me an hour later telling me to check my car for his wallet. I found it. Then he said i should bring it back to his place in ikorodu. But after taking a good look at the wallet & it’s contents, I refused and told him that I will rather send him N200 credit to compensate for the cash in the wallet. He got angry and said he was going to report me to Uber. I don’t want to go back bcos he has already made it clear that the expense of driving back to his place is on me.

A user told him to report the rider to Uber

Do you think the passenger will go Uber office to pick up his wallet?

The Uber driver should do the needful
