From what we learnt, it was reckless driving on the part of this truck driver that led to his untimely death. The body of the late truck driver is said to have been handed over to the family for proper burial. This information was revealed by Olufemi Oke-Osanyintolu, who happens to be the Director-General of Lagos State Emergency Management Agency.

The Director-General of LASEMA revealed that the truck which the deceased was driving was overloaded with iron rods, which coupled with his careless driving led to this brutal accident. Meanwhile, the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA) has proven effective over the years as a rescue agency in many cases of accident. Just recently, the agency helped in putting out a raging fire at a filling station in Lagos that would have claimed lots of houses and vehicles around.

Reckless driving is becoming more prevalent among truck drivers in the country. Check out what you should when driving around trucks in the video below:

According to Oke-Osanyintolu, the response team from the agency that rushed to the accident scene found the body of the truck driver trapped in the vehicle and was later removed. Unfortunately, there was little the responders could do as the driver had already lost his life. The male truck driver was said to be unmarried at the time when he was alive.
