According to eyewitnesses, the deceased, Godspower Chukwuka Igbomor, was on a motorcycle when the trailer in question lost control, and ran over him and the rider. The rider was lucky to have survived with minor injuries, while the deceased paid the ultimate price.

Seeing that his vehicle had killed someone, the driver of the trailer took to his heels, presumably out of fear of being lynched by people agitated over the boy’s death. It was reported that the driver was moving at a high speed, as he drove from Auchi, en route Kwale, before losing control of the steering.

Naijauto.com gathered that the crash was very severe, leaving the body of the deceased beyond recognition. After the accident, the police in Abbi was contacted by Mr. Louis Okekonum, head of vigilante in the community.

The incident was confirmed by CP Adeyinka Adeleke, Commissioner of Police in Delta State. He stated that the trailer ran over the motorcycle carrying the deceased, from behind.
