Toyota maintains position as world’s most valuable automotive brand for 7 years

Toyota comes first among automotive brands in the world with the highest market value! Check out other automotive brands that made the list!

Latest automobile news at Naijauto has it that Toyota continues to lead in the automotive industry as it is recognized as the world’s most valuable car in 2019 – a position it has held for the past 7 years in the BrandZ’s ranking of the top 100 brands across the globe.

Right behind the top automaker were Mercedes and BMW who came in second and third respectively despite recording a 9% decline in their market value.

Toyota which also holds the number one spot in Nigeria has continuously clinched the top position 12 times out of the total 14 times the award has been held annually with a $29.1 billion market value.

Mercedes-Benz recorded a $23.3 billion market value with a 9% reduction from last year. Similarly, BMW recorded a $23.32 billion market value with a 9% reduction from last year.

Honda defeated Ford, taking over the fourth position. Tesla displaced Audi of its former 7th position. Volkswagen scaled up to the 9th position, and Porsche slightly overtook Suzuki to grab the 10th position.

Only brands that trade publicly and make their financial results public are eligible to be considered for the BrandZ’s top 100 brand ranking.

In the general category, the world’s most valuable brand was Amazon, which gave heavy-weights like Google and Apple a run for their money with a market value of $315.5 billion. Apply took second place with $309.5 billion while Google came third with $309 billion.

Leading brands in the automotive category Toyota, Mercedes-Benz and BMW made 41, 54, and 55 positions in the general category.
