Toyota Nigeria severs 25-year partnership with Globe Motors

Toyota Nigeria has just ended partnership with Globe Motors over warranty issues, reducing the number of accredited dealers to 7. Read the details below!

Toyota Nigeria Limited (TNL) has severed partnership with one of its product dealers, Globe Motors Holdings LTD (GMHL). Toyota Nigeria Limited is the Nigerian representative of Japanese automaker, Toyota Motor Corporation.


Toyota Nigeria has parted ways with Globe Motors over warranty issues after 25 years of partnership

Information gathered by Naijauto says the new development was due to breach of dealership agreement bothering on warranty.

So henceforth, Globe Motors will no longer be a representative or stand-in for Toyota Nigeria Limited regarding any transaction that has to do with Toyota sales, car parts, and services.

With the turn of events, the number of accredited dealers of Toyota products in Nigeria is now reduced to seven.

They are:

  • Elizade Nigeria Limited
  • RT Briscoe (Nigeria) PLC
  • Omoregie Motors Limited
  • Germaine Auto Centre Limited
  • Metropolitan Motors Limited
  • Mandillas Enterprises Limited
  • Kojo Motors

The services solely provided by these Toyota dealers include the provision of genuine manufacturer’s warranty on cars and parts, business expansion, auto repair services by Japan trained technicians, technical support teamed repairs, among other services.


With the turn of events, Globe Motors will not be marketing any Toyota product again

Reports said that there have been several attempts to resolve the crisis between both parties which have lingered on since 2017 but they all proved abortive.

While reacting to the new development, the MD Globe Motors, Victor Oguamalam said, his company has been importing tropicalized Toyota vehicles made for the Nigerian road and climate for the past 25 years and have always issued customers three years warranty as spelled out by Toyota, the automaker.
