For the benefits of you readers not from Kano State or haven’t been to Kano before, it is a state in the Northern part of Nigeria that was created on the 27th of May, 1967. It was created out of the old Northern Region as it used to be called.
The state is indeed among the top most recognized northern states in Nigeria as they have produced various reputable political leaders in Nigerian history right from the time of the military rule up till now in the democracy days.
Kano state borders few other Northern states in Nigeria like; Kaduna State (South-west), Bauchi State (South-east), Jigawa State (North-east), and Katsina State (North-West).

According to the last Nigeria general census records, over 9,383,682 people currently lives in Kano State. And these people are all from different tribes in Nigeria as well as different religious affiliations.
Kano State has remained highly relevant in Nigeria’s Agriculture and commerce sectors as the state is well known for producing and supplying groundnuts to many parts of Nigeria till date. This state also has a record of some valuable solid mineral deposits yet to be fully mined and utilized by the Nigerian government.
