Ettore Arco Isidoro Bugatti was born in Milan, Italy on September 15th, 1881. He constructed his first vehicle in 1901 and built his automobile company in 1909. After the first World War I the company still manufactured lightweight sports models and gained great success, for example, winning the Le Mans 1920s.  

It’s a pity that Ettore Bugatti passed away in Paris in 1997 after 8 years when his son, Jean had been killed in a test drive. Consequently, the firm stopped working at that time. However, in the 1950s, it was revived and is managed by the Volkswagen Group now.
