Here on Naijauto, we bring to you daily and trending auto news, cutting edge technologies and amazing car facts both local and global.

Just in February, according to report from the data collected by JATO Dynamics, Tesla Model 3 emerged as the Europe best-selling exotic car and also as most sought after electrified vehicle during its full month being released into the market.

It is quite exciting to know that the sales of this Model 3 by Tesla overpowered the likes of Mercedes-Benz C-Class, Audi A4 and BMW 3 Series. With its remarkable sales of 3,630 units of cars, Model 3 has indeed led the segment of luxury mid-size cars. This landmark was more than what the German Gig 3 achieved.

Tesla's Model 3 has indeed become a threat to other mid-size luxury cars in terms of sales

In its sales, Model 3 wasn’t done yet. Nissan Leaf, Renault Zoe and other big guns were outsold. Knowing the fact that, this Model 3 was available for only a short period of time and was even costlier than these other luxury cars in its category.

According to a recent statement from the JATO spokesperson, he said:

the performance of the Model 3 is remarkable, given we normally don’t see this kind of result until four or five months after a new car has hit the roads... As we’re seeing in the US, Tesla is also shaking up the European market. Its long-lasting impact will depend on how quickly the German premium makers, Volvo and JLR react to the arrival of the Model 3 to Europe and how quickly they can bring in their own midsize electric cars

From another quarter, we were made to understand that the electric-powered Tesla Model 3 was the best-selling luxury car in United States in 2018 and also in Europe for the exact year in the category of pure electric cars.
