Just yesterday, we reported that the Military killed 4 suspected IPOB members and recovered a Toyota Hilux truck from them in Imo. Well, a new report reaching us also claims that another set of suspected IPOB members recently killed a Dangote truck driver and set his vehicle ablaze in Delta. This new incident reportedly occurred in Asaba, Delta State on Wednesday 18th of May 2022. The unfortunate incident was confirmed by Ari Ali, who happens to be the Commissioner of Police in the state.
A Dangote truck loaded with cement was set ablaze by suspected IPOB members in Asaba
Delta police commissioner claims that the truckload of cement coming from Okpella in Edo State was intercepted on its way to Asaba. As a result, the driver was shot to death for flouting the sit-at-home order, made by these IPOB members. Ari revealed that the attackers were only able to kill the driver as other occupants of the truck escaped into a nearby bush and found their way to the police station located at Ugbolu. He added that two vehicles and a tricycle were set ablaze by these proscribed IPOB members. For some time now, many people have been killed and properties worth millions were destroyed by these people since they issued the mandatory sit-at-home order in the eastern part of the country and Delta State.

CP Ari disclosed that he has deployed police officers to the streets to maintain law and order. He said earlier this week that his men reacted swiftly to the report that some IPOB men had blocked the road on the outskirts of Asaba. He added that the men had left the area before the arrival of the police operatives. The men from the command also went into the Ugbolu community to hunt down these miscreants, according to the commissioner. He urged the public to assist the police with vital information as they go on with their daily businesses.
