Apart from the recent updates that you might have come across here on Naijauto.com, we are sure you would have also noticed that suicide and attempted suicide report is now rampant in Nigeria.
It is no longer a joking matter as it used to be in the past. Almost every week now, the news headlines would have one or more suicide-related report.
Just a few days back, everyone was still trying to grasp the suicide story of a particular RCCG member only for the Rapid Response Squad (RRS) division of the Nigerian Police to report another averted suicide case on 3rd Mainland Bridge, Lagos.
According to the short post by the RRS, the newly averted case involved a certain individual who was said to have revealed himself being a graduate and a chartered accountant as well.
The original post by the RRS reads:
This man, (name withheld) was prevented from jumping off 3MB into the Lagoon this morning. We had a little chat with him and he revealed that he’s a graduate and a chartered accountant. He was handed over to Adekunle Police Station, who have contacted his family. #TheGoodGuys”

Beneath the post, many people have commented their opinions. Some thank the police for doing good work, some express their concern over the suicide rate recently increasing due to psychological problems while others think this guy should be sent to a therapist, rather than a police station. What do you think?
