It wouldn’t be enough to rely only on far away helpers like Jack Ma who donated medical supplies to Nigeria in the fight against Coronavirus all the way from China. It is also the collective responsibility of local companies and affluent individuals in Nigeria to support the government in fighting this pandemic that has hit the country hard.
This is why we appreciate Nigeria’s sole distributor of Mitsubishi vehicles, Massilia Motors, for supporting 1,000 poor Lagos homes with food items amidst this COVID-19 presidential lockdown.
COVID-19: Massilia Motors, the Sole distributor of Mitsubishi vehicles in Nigeria donates food items to 1,000 poor Lagos homes
According to fresh reports reaching us, Massilia Motors made this plausible donation to poor homes in Ijora, Lagos state. Ijora is more like a suburb area of Lagos where Massilia Motors’ headquarter is actually located. It was stated in the press report that some of the food items donated by Massilia Motors to these poor communities include tomato paste, vegetable oil, salt, sugar, beans, bags of rice and many other edibles. This donation should complement the 150 truckloads of rice that President Buhari ordered to be shared for all 36 states in the country.
Vanguard news report stated that Massilia Motors handed over the above-mentioned food items donated to the “Ojora of Ijora” – Oba Abdul Fatai Aremu Aromire. Also, the report mentioned that Mr Kunle Jaiyesimi who is the Deputy M.D of Massilia Motors led the team that handed the food items to the King of Ijora. Mr Jaiyesimi reportedly commended the state and federal government’s effort in curbing the COVID-19 outbreak in Nigeria.
