The sudden death of Kazeem Tiamiyu, who was the assistant captain of Remo Stars, has created a lot of public outcries since he was reportedly shot dead by a SARS operative. From what we learned, the Lexus car belonging to the slain football player was allegedly vandalized at the spot where it was parked at Owode Egba Police Station in Ogun State. Tiamiyu was reportedly arrested in this car before his death.

Fasasi Tiamiyu, who is the late footballer’s father, recently disclosed that he requested for his son’s car after seeing his remains at the morgue, which upon seeing it, he told the police to take it to their police station for safekeeping till the end of the investigation.

“After I saw my son’s corpse in the mortuary, I told the police from Owode Egba Police Station that the car should be taken to the station for more investigation.
“I was surprised today (Wednesday) when we went there and discovered that the car had been vandalized. The gear is not working again and some parts of the car are missing.
“This is a car that was driven here and it is being towed out of the police station.”

According to the late footballer’s father, the deputy police IG in charge of criminal department at the Force Headquarters, in the person of Mr. Ogunyonbo Peter, has given a directive to the DPO in charge of Owode Egba Police Station where this Lexus car was vandalized, to put it into perfect working condition and bear the cost.
