From a new report getting to us, six people had lost their lives in a tragic road accident that took place around Ajede Ogbere in Ijebu-Ode-Ore along Sagamu-Benin Expressway last Tuesday.
6 people lost their lives in a three-car fatal crash recently on Sagamu-Benin Expressway
Mr Ahmed Umar, who happens to be the sector commandant of the Federal Road Safety Corps in Ogun State, while confirming the news, revealed that the unfortunate road crash involved three vehicles.

According to the sector commandant, the three vehicles involved in this crash include a Mazda with registration number JJJ 862 XV, a luxurious Mercedes bus with registration number AGL O5 XZ and a Toyota Sienna with registration number KRD 306 BJ.
Umar stated that the horrific accident was caused by excessive speed, wrongful overtaking and loss of control on the part of the driver of the luxurious bus. The sector commandant revealed that 39 people were involved in this crash, including 25 males and 14 females. Six people were reported dead, five males and one female.

Fatal accident along Benin-Lagos Expressway claims one life
From what we learnt, the luxurious bus rammed into the incoming Mazda and Sienna after losing control on the road. As a result, the driver ran away seeing that all occupants of the Sienna had lost their lives. The occupants of the Mazda sustained varying degrees of injuries in the crash. Those with injuries were taken to the hospital for treatment while the corpses of the deceased have been deposited at the morgue of the General Hospital in Ijebu-Ode.
Umar, while commiserating with the families of the deceased, urged them to contact the agency for more details and recovered items from the scene of the accident. He also urged motorists to adhere to traffic rules and regulations to avoid the recurrence of similar accidents.
