Publicity stunt goes south! Tekno might be facing charges for showcasing half-naked girls dancing in traffic. See what the Police are saying about it!

Popular Singer Tekno is probably regretting the stunt he pulled – showcasing half naked girls on a transparent truck driving through the Lekki-Ikoyi Link Bridge. The singer was arrested by the Lagos State Police Command.

The "Duro" crooner whose real name is Augustine Kelechi received heavy backlash when clips of half naked girls dancing around him on the open truck surfaced online. Some social media users and celebrities condemned the act, saying he was constituting a nuisance to the public.

In the video, the girls are seen dressed provocatively, dancing in a seductive manner while Tekno sprayed cash on them. In response to the condemnation received, the Singer and his manager tendered apologies to the public for their bad judgment, last Sunday.

Explaining what transpired, Tekno said that, contrary to what many people thought, he did not set out to put up an open strip show. According to the Made Men Music (MMM) Artiste, he and his crew members were on their way to the location for a video shoot when the incident occurred. He further stated that the display was a scene in the upcoming video of his song titled Agege in which he featured fellow musician Zlatan Ibile.

Arrest of the Singer was confirmed by spokesman of the police Bala Elkana who stated that he was invited by the police for questioning. According to him:

“The command has arrested Tekno and two girls for conveying half naked girls at the Lekki area of Lagos. He is presently undergoing questioning at the state Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department (SCIID), Panti.”

Naijauto gathered that Tekno was arrested alongside his producer Tijani but they were both granted bail shortly after on health related grounds.
