In an effort to restrict the common issue of motorcycle riders overloading bikes in Oyo state, Governor Seyi Makinde has recently unveiled a customized set of shelter kits. This development is in line with the “One Passenger Per Okada” campaign that is being sponsored mainly by Mr. Suleiman Agoola’s Sidol Solutions in the state.
Governor Seyi Makinde introduces Shelter kits to restrict Okada riders in Oyo state from overloading
On Wednesday 11th December 2019, Dr. Mogaji Akin Fagbemi, the Chairman OYRTMA (Oyo state Road Traffic Management Authority) has confirmed the delivery of more than 1,000 shelter kits already for Okada riders in Ibadan.
This new transport accessory is coming just after the Government of Oyo sealed a partnership deal with Sidol Solutions that actually launched the initiative just two days before the official distribution of the kits.
These Okada Shelter kits are meant to protect just one rider and one passenger from the harsh sun in Oyo state
Some of the dignitaries present during the launch of this Okada shelter kits include the Olubadan of Ibadanland who was represented and also many other important stakeholders in Oyo state transport sector.
When addressing the beneficiaries of this Okada shelter kits, the Chairman of OYRTMA praise the idea:
“Would protect the riders and their passengers alike from inclement and harsh atmospheric conditions,”
