Seven people confirmed dead in Osun road accident

A recent road accident involving a truck and a smaller car in Osun state has been reported to have claimed the lives of seven people. See more details here!

A new traffic update reaching us here at Naijauto records that on Saturday 16th of November 2019, a fatal road accident occurred along the Oshogbo-Ikirun in Osun State claiming seven lives.


Fatal car crash claims 7 lives in Osun state over the last weekend

Reports claim that this Osun road accident involved a commercial car (space wagon) with a Nigerian plate number JJJ 59 CJ and a big truck with the plate number FST 597 XY.

Sources claim that the accident occurred sometimes around 7:30 am in the morning of last Saturday and all the passengers on board died right at the spot except for one survivor.

While giving the account of the incident, Peter Oke – the Sector Commander of the Federal Road Safety Corps in Osun state gave out the real name of the commercial bus driver to be one Sheriff Azeez. He also revealed that the seven deceased victims include 5 males and 2 females while the only survivor has been admitted at LAUTECH teaching hospital in Oshogbo, Osun state.

Peter Oke was also quoted stating that;

“The deceased have been taken to the morgue of the teaching hospital. The crash might have been caused by lack of concentration by the drivers. We urge drivers to ensure strict adherence to safety measures while driving.”
