According to the latest news report, a disturbing clip was shared online showing how many vehicles’ roofs were totally caved in under the weight of collapsing parking lot in Saudi Arabia. This unfortunate event happened last year and the footage shows the state of the vehicles after they were recovered from the collapse.
The vehicles were destroyed beyond recognition when the parking lot collapsed in Saudi Arabia
One of the many vehicles that were totalled by this collapse is a BMW E63 6 Series, which roof was flattened and extended into the cabin. The footage also captures the deformed hoods and rubble on a pair of Porsche SUVs. The collapse was so severe that it obliterated these models beyond recognition. Rocks from the fall were able to get into the cabin from the sunroof of one Porsche Cayenne.
Fortunately, no life was lost in this parking lot collapse

The vehicles that suffered most from this collapse are those close to the epicentre, where their suspensions are wrecked, vehicles flattened and their wheels splayed. Initially, when the footage of this incident came out in October 2020, not much was said as the video was shared by activists.

Till date, they are yet to ascertain what caused the collapse of the parking tower. Fortunately, one engineer identified as Abdullah Abu Habla walking down the stairs in the building at the time when this collapse took place was able to escape unhurt. In a similar case, a Tesla Model 3 was wrecked beyond recognition in a high-speed crash, where its battery cells caused havoc to nearby apartments.
