Governor Sanwo-Olu declares a state of emergency on Lagos roads with the promise of speedy improvements
This “state of Emergency” declaration was made by the governor in a recent meeting he had with the various contractors handling road construction and rehabilitation across the state on Sunday 13th Oct. 2019. In the meeting, Governor Sanwo-Olu notably said;
“We totally understand the plight of all Lagosians regarding the state of our roads. We are fully aware of our responsibility, and we do not plan to fall short of it.”
“Though the current weather has not been favourable, we are putting together measures to ease the burden of commuters”
According to Gov. Sanwo-Olu, the road contractors were all engaged base on individual pedigree as well as capacity to painstakingly and comprehensively rehabilitate different roads all over the state. Some of the notable contractors present in this meeting include RCC, Arab Contractors, Julius Berger, and the likes.
