He said it is important to have different kinds of working transportation system in the country that complement one another.
The railway projects when completed will help ease off road traffic in major cities in the country
According to him, it is impossible for railway system to reach every corner in the country and big vehicles will still be needed to move goods from the train stations to different destinations. On appreciating the effort put in place in making Lagos-Ibadan rail way possible with regards the quality and standard put in place, it will bolster the nation’s economy and help the transportation system.
Alhaji Musa Mohammed made a lauding point of reference to the Ajaokuta-Asaba rail which was dormant for 32 years but under this present administration, it has been revived. He mentioned that a working rail system will help reduce if not eliminate the frustrating traffic in Apapa area of Lagos by moving the goods and leaving the trucks to take care of inner city daily tasks.
