2. More about Richard Mofe Damijo

Richard Mofe Damijo, or RMD, was born on the 6th July 1961, he is one of Nigeria’s legendary actors and the former Commissioner for Culture and Tourism in Delta State. Richard was born in Warri, Delta State, Nigeria. He was schooled at the Midwest College in Warri and the Anglican Grammar school which he was a member of the drama club, then continued his education in the study of Theater Arts at the University of Benin.

In 1997, Richard Damijo returned to the University of Lagos where he studied Law and graduated in 2004 with an M.Sc. in Law. After his graduation from the tertiary institute, Mofe Damijo started his first work as a journalist working alongside with Concord Newspaper. He took another job later with Metro Magazines and this made him famous in Nigeria.

Richard Mofe Damijo was married to Mary Ellen-Ezekiel (MEE), a Nigerian Journalist/publisher who died in the year 1996. A few years after her passing away, Mofe Damijo got married to his second wife, Jumobi Adegbesan who was a well-known television personality. She later moved into full-time business and gave RMD four more kids making him the father of five.
