According to new traffic reports reaching us, a reckless driver recently ended the lives of two siblings in front of their mother's shop in Ogun State. Reports reveal that the speeding truck driver was identified as Moshood Gbadamosi. His reckless driving habit led to the death of two children in front of their mother's saloon in the Ilisan-Remo area of Ogun State. The two victims killed in the tragic incident have been identified as 14-year-old Olamide Opeyemi and 11-year-old Damilola Opeyemi.

The mother of the deceased children own a hairdressing salon and the unfortunate accident happened directly opposite her shop. An eyewitness and a neighbour, who goes by the name Olayinka Oremuyiwa, revealed that the truck actually hit four children standing by the roadside. Two of them survived the ordeal, but the other two children were not lucky enough as they were declared dead. Naijauto gathered that Olamide and Damilola were second and last born respectively. Oremuyiwa said the four children were rushed to the Babcock Teaching Hospital for medical treatment. Unfortunately, two of them were pronounced dead by the doctor on duty.

Media reports further explained that residents attempted to stop vehicles to help convey the children to a hospital after the crash. Much to their disappointment, none of the vehicles stopped to render any help. Oremuyiwa said she had to support their mother, Abosede, to carry Olamide to the hospital on a motorcycle. She said that she learnt at the hospital that the other sibling was brought in earlier. Another eyewitness identified as Shola Emmanuel disclosed that the intervention of the police prevented a possible mob action that would have followed the road incident. Emmanuel said the mob were on the verge of burning the vehicle before the timely intervention of the police. He added that such reckless driving is rampant in the area. A source within the family revealed that the driver had been arrested and charged to court.
