Not fewer than three were killed, including a pregnant woman, in a horrific road accident that took place recently on the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway.

According to report, the incident happened along the Danco-Ibafo expressway at around 4 am on Thursday. Four vehicles were said to be involved in this fatal accident, including a DAF truck with registration number XY 895 GCE, Mazda bus with registration number LND 676 XX transporting tomatoes, Iveco Truck with registration number JBD 16 XY loaded with granite, and a Mazda bus with registration number BDG 755 YA loaded with garri.
The eyewitnesses revealed that the driver of the Mazda bus loaded with garri lost control and rammed into the rear side of a truck, causing multiple hits by other vehicles. According to further reports, nine people were inside the Mazda bus at the time of the accident.

Babatunde Akinbiyi, who happens to be the spokesperson of the Ogun State Traffic Compliance and Enforcement Corps (TRACE), while confirming this unfortunate event, revealed that the accident was caused by speeding when the Mazda bus driver conveying garri lost control and crashed into a truck from behind, leading to multiple crashes.
Akinbiyi added that three people were killed in this crash. He said two males, who were occupants of the Mazda car loaded with `garri and a pregnant woman from the Mazda bus loaded with Tomatoes were victims of this accident.
