Anyone who is familiar with sports will understand how hard it is to compete in the Olympics. This is more reason why it is so sad to hear that a popular South American athlete and 3-time Olympian recently died in a car crash. The late Deon Lendore represented South American country, Trinidad & Tobago three times in the Olympic track sports. Similarly, he is said to be a former athlete of the Texas A&M team.

According to media reports, the now-late Deon Lendore was just 29-years-old as of the time of his death. He lost his life in a fatal collision that saw his vehicle hit two other cars on the road at College Station, Texas. Several media outlets in the United States reported that Deon Lendore got involved in the fatal crash while driving in his 2015 Volkswagen Jetta along the FM 485 highway in Texas. Investigations claim that Lendore’s Volkswagen sedan veered off its lane twice and crashed into two different cars before stopping. One of the vehicles is said to be an Infiniti SUV driven by a 65-yr-old woman who has now been hospitalized following the crash.

Reports have it that the 3-time Olympian, Deon Lendore was pronounced dead at the spot of the car crash. It was quite unfortunate that such a talented athlete lost his life at a very young age in his career. We sympathize with his fans and supporters in the United States as well as Trinidad & Tobago.
