A video has recently surfaced online showing the horrific moment commotion erupted after a Lagos policeman allegedly shot the Toyota Camry sedan car of a man whose wife and kids were inside the vehicle with him.
Reports claim that this incident occurred on Sunday 26th of July 2020 at the Ikeja part of Lagos state. Sources sharing the video and story alleged that the police officer shot the vehicle out of annoyance simply because the driver refused to pay bribe.

A social media user who goes by the name Ayodele Oyewole shared the video of the incident online recently while narrating that the wife of the driver fainted during the incident and the rear windscreen of the car got shattered from the gunshot.
It was also obvious in the video that the incident caused a serious commotion as passersby confronted the policeman and were demanding that he drives the unconscious woman to a nearby hospital. The little children could also be seen crying at the scene of the horrible incident which seems to show just how shocked they were.

In a later update, the state police command in Lagos revealed that it has gotten hold of the officer who allegedly caused the horror. Bala Elkana, the Lagos police command’s spokesperson has also confirmed that the “Trigger happy” officer has been arrested and proper investigation has been launched to unravel the facts about the incident. The police spokesperson also claimed that the Toyota Camry car has been put back into shape while the affected family has been contacted with apologies tendered.
