The authorities revealed that a policeman was killed after he was dragged by a car during a traffic stop last Thursday in Georgia. The suspect was also shot and killed during the course of the event.

The 29-year-old Ansy Dolce, who was behind the wheel of a Cherokee Country, was reportedly shot to death by a cop in the incident, according to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation. It started when the vehicle was pulled over by an officer for going beyond the speed limit last Wednesday at around 11 pm in Holly Spring, forty minutes north of Atlanta.

During the traffic stop, Officer Joe Burson, 25, was dragged down the road by Dolce. The officer responded with gunfire during this shocking incident. So far, we can't say what made the suspect attempt to drive off or why he had to drag the officer down with him on the road.

At the time, what caused the death of the officer is unknown, but his superiors and colleagues claim that he was a very good police officer and would be missed in the police department. Burson was sworn in as an officer in 2020 after graduating from the academy.

At the time of the incident, the shift supervisor was present there at the scene, while nearby officers were close to the area and were able to quickly respond. The video from the traffic stop and the officer’s bodycam will be reviewed by the investigators. The authorities will also check the body cameras on other officers that got to the scene of the incident.
The authorities have not released additional info, but they urged motorists to avoid a stretch of Hickory Road as they carry out their investigation. The authorities are set to shut down the area from New Light to Little roads until the conclusion of the investigation.
